Pokemon Rocks Seattle!

Pokemon Rocks SeattleI took Andrew (7) to "Pokemon Rocks America 2004", here in Seattle last Saturday. This was a Pokemon extravaganza held only in three cities this year, so we were fortunate, I guess, to have it here in town.

We got to Seattle Center an hour early, and there was already a line full of people of all ages playing Pokemon on their GameBoys and arguing the finer points of battling and evolving Pokemon. Andrew was so excited he couldn't concentrate enough to play his GameBoy even though he hadn't been allowed to play all week.

The event itself was actually pretty good. I had expected a huge price gouging marketing extravagnza. To be sure, it was all things Pokemon, but it was done well. The event itself was free (even though the line wrapped around the building by the time the doors opened. They gave away a ton of free stuff and had a lot to do.

We learned how to play the card game, Andrew competed on stage in a silly game and won a ton of stuff, we traded Pokemon between our GameBoys with the staff (and got a dozen Pokemon we hadn't had before), watched videos, and saw more experienced kids battle.

The highlight of the event for most people was the opportunity to get the "Aurora ticket" -- the key to getting Deoxys, the last Pokemon (between all the various Pokemon computer games, you try to collect all three hundred some odd Pokemon.) There's no way to get this ticket in the game; you have to go to an event like this. We didn't have the right version of the game, I didn't feel like buying one, and Andrew didn't press the matter (fortunately, since the line was forever long.) At least one person I saw on stage had come from San Diego to get the ticket. Crazy.

Actually, there were a lot of crazies there. I wasn't surprised to see kids of Andrew's age, but there were lots of teenagers and adults who seemed even more enthusiastic. There were pimply faced 15 year old boys snorting about how to mate Pokemon, "Pokemoms" on stage for the karaoke contest, and parents arguing with their kids about which Pokemon evolves into what when -- and really caring. It was Dork Fest 2004.

Still, Andrew had a great time. The highlight for him may have been after the event when we found our photo on the pokemon.com website. Well he's in the photo; my head is cutoff. I've saved that screenshot for posterity.

I admit it was more fun than I expected. Guess I'm a dork too.

I am trying to download Deoxys for my leaf green version the screen tells me to go to mystery gift, but there is no wonder gift, there is only wonder cards and wonder news. Does anyone no what I am doing wrong? thanks casey

dude I live in vegas so i wasn't able to go. I also didn't know about it at the time. So can you bring one to vegas cause a lot of my friends are ticked that they can not catch deoxys

Sorry guys, I'm no expert here. All I know is that you can't get the Aurora ticket in the game. You need to go to a Pokemon event or sometimes the Pokemon Center in New York City to get it. There's no way to transfer the ticket either.

the fastest way is to buy an action replay for get about the even crap get the aurora ticket code the birth island code and go to the ferry in vermilliom city and talk to the sailer dude and clik on birth island but i havent dont it yet then u gotta solve the puzzle u gotta make the triangle red! common yall dont give up...go to google and do sum research on sum codes its really easy like this 1 www.cheathappens.com but it doesnt give u aurora ticket or mystic ticket =http://www.serebii.net/red_green/tickets.shtml this is a good site it will show u how the puzzle and deoxy will look like but it wont give u da code and u need to go to the ferry in vermillion city!

this i how you get the mystic ticket and aurora ticket. u have to have a webcam and a gba link cable. after u connect the link cable and theweb cam together. after go to google and type in how do i get the two rare tickets in fire red. then it should say something. after click on one of them and read all of them . next u have to go to nentendo events . com. then by using the gba and the webcam u download the tickets and u have in your gameboy.

IT REALLY WORKS SO TRY IT OUT IF U HAVE THE GBA AND THE WEBCAM. AND THE GAMEBOY

Did you miss the Special Nintendo's Events? Who didn't!! Well here is your chance to get those Rare Tickets and The Old Sea Map for Pokémon Emerald. The Aurora Ticket was given out only three times last year in three different locations in the US. Talking about unfair!!! The Eon Ticket was given out at the Pokémon Center and Nintendo Power Magazine. So to get the Eon Ticket now a days, your stuck paying big money on E-Bay. The Mystic Ticket was given out at Nintendo's "Pokémon Rocks America" last year which if your lucky enough to live in one of those cities to get it. But you can get it all here, even the Old Sea Map which Nintendo hasn't done their Special Event yet. What is there not to like about this auction??

Old Sea Map
When you show the Girl at the
Lilycove Harbor this Old Sea
Map, she will get Briney to pilot
the S.S.Tidal to take you to
Faraway Island where you find a
Mew Level 30.

Aurora Ticket
With the Aurora Ticket you take
the Ferry at Lilycove Harbor to
The Birth Island Where you find
Deoxys at Level 30.


Eon Ticket
When you redeem The Eon Ticket,
it will allow you to go to the Southern
Island where you can catch the other
Latios or Latias whichever color you
didn't pick after Beating the Elite Four.
The Pokémon will be Level 50.


Mystic Ticket

The Mystic Ticket allows passage to Navel Rock. Take the left path and follow the ladders up to get to Ho-oh, take the right path and follow the ladders down to get to Lugia. You can catch both Pokémon using this one Ticket and both Pokémon are at Level 70 so be prepared! Once you have caught Ho-oh, examine the tip of the cliff with the Itemfinder to get a Sacred Ash.

All you need to do is send me the Pokémon Emerald Version. Do not send any other Pokemon Games for this auction. Only send Pokémon Emerald.


Your requirement is simple for your game, there is none. You can be any place in the game to receive these items. But you can't redeem your Tickets or the Old Sea Map at Lilycove Harbor until you beat the Elite Four and pick the color of Lati@s you saw on the TV. If you did that already, then your all set to sail off to catch those Rare Pokémon

Ok I'm one of those 15 year old dorks that still like pokemon, but we aren't all dorks. Just like there's a difference between nice and cool, there's a difference between nerds, geeks, and dorks. Dorks are kind of weird people who have no life really. Nerds are the ones with the pocket protectors and the collared shirts, with a tie/bowtie. Geeks are a combo of punk and tech. We geeks love our computers. And pokemon. I do have one complaint. I wish I had all the different tickets!!!

this cheat is very tricky but u can pull it off.

I know a way to get all three pokemon in the beginning. u must press strat and select when u pick ur pokemon while choosing at the same time.then u have to continue pressing the buttons while u fight the poochyena. but the pokemon will be different.the pokemon will be a deoxys/lugia /ho-ho/mew/jirachi/mewtwo/or celibi.i had deoxys after i tried it 18 times. then when the deoxys hp is very low (red) he will flee.so it is imposible to kill him.(all the pokemon will flee) then it will be in the wild. so be prepared.they will gradually rerstore health so try to get them quickly.the more longer it takes uto find them the more stronger they will get.i cought deoxys but it was hard.i cant really remember the rest so u have to find out the rest. srry i cant remember. good luck finding out what happens

Want some good pokemon for the price of one cr.. I MEAN one silly one. Get out a pokemon from the pc that you don't want and play the battle swap. Choose your pokemon and on the way through the door teleport to faraway island (my recommendation because birth islands teleport leaves you off the island and stuck forever.)P.S. You have that pokemon to keep - you have to hold L while going through door - you need faraway code - i have tried this and out of it i got feraligtr and meganium last then typhloshion.

Have a one of a kind pokemon you'd die for 2 but everyone wants a good worth for it. SIT BACK RELAX with this hint you can really clone you pokemon I have 7 Raquaza's so far.
What you do is deposit the pokemon you wanna clone in a pokebox and save in front of the PC in the battle tower of the battle frontier. Then you turn off, turn back on and withdraw the same pokemon and click on the link battle lady and click save - yes - would you like to overwrite? When would you like to overwrite does appear, turn off your game. Go to the pokebox that you deposited your pokemon in before and they'll be there. If you check your hand they will be there too. P.S. THIS IS A GLITCH BUT WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR GAME IN ANYWAY, WHY ELSE WOULD I HAVE 7 RAQUAZA'S? NO-ONE I KNOW PLAYS POKEMON ANYMORE SO I CAN'T GET IT FROM THEM. listen this is a unknown cheat what im gonna tell u need a wabbafet and 2 pokemon that are lv80 or more go to the person in pacifidlog town he will say i can see marage island today go to marage island get a leachi berry then put wabbafet to party slot 3 and on any tree do cut 20 times then a house will appear then inside battle the master blender then the house will disappear then woods will appear u can find lugia,Ho-oh,celebi and there easy to find.

yo who ever want to know how to duplicate on emerald it gose like this first you go to the
battle tower and place the selected pokemon(s)
in a seprate box and then save. Take it/ them back out and go to the link multi battle room and choose open level start the save procedure but turn it off during it. Turn it back on and check
your PC then there you go you got 2.

Guess what? I got Ho-Oh, Lugia and Deoxys and I live in Great Britain. No pokemon events here! Just go and buy an Action Replay Max GBA/DS cheat cartridge and use it. I got Deoxys, the real one, obeys me and everything! I don't even have the Aurora Ticket or the Mystic Ticket or the Eon Ticket or The Old Sea Chart!

But I also have many other pokemon on my best team, like my MEWTWO, and stuff like that. The only legendaries I'm missing are Deoxys, and Mew. And people, did you know that it's possible to get Mew on colosseum?! Purify all the pokemon, then beat MT Tower (And you're getting Ho-oh in the process) with a Celebi, and the Latis. Just duplicate them from emerald and trade them. Mine are LVL 100 (as you know) and if you don't have celebi, trade a Jirachi and catch celebi in colosseum. If you don't have either, well, you suck!! I don't know if the Mew thing is true, I've only purified 11 out of the 48 pokemon. After there is a LVL ?????? Mewtwo to catch, along with a LVL 80 Moltress!

So in the end, do I have a good team? Other than Deoxys and Mew, what else should I have and instead of what? And be realistic, I mean it's not like I have 99 rare candies and i duplicate more and more (which I have, and do). LOL!

well danny, the thing is is that first.... i cant get the cheat for a ticket in fire red until monday because my computer spazzes out ,but i do know how to get ho-oh and lugia. the thing is it will take a while and since i have anime club on monday, it would be the perfect time to get the cheat. back to what i was saying, you could only get ho-oh in colluseum, and you could get lugia in xd gale of darkness. the walktrough for both of them is very long, but if you send me a comment on either lugia or ho-oh , i could give you the cheat. im curious, EVERYBODY, does anybody live near hinsdale, im just very curious, if you do, give me your real name and i might just know you. i screwed up on my last one, but monday, i'll have at least, all of the legendary pokemon cheats.

well, jose, i cant help anyone or you yet on deoxys and mew. but i can help you on the wireless adapter. if you have firered you should have the wireless adapter. the thing is.... you need either another gameboy with a firered or leafgreen version with a wireless adapter, or you need a friend with a leafgreen or firered version with a wireless adapter including a gameboy. im still looking for cheats, but i found nothing. also for EVERYBODY i dont need your e mail address. it just leads to trouble with other people needing anothers e mail. you know what i mean. i thank you though, but i dont need it.

the only thing i can say for mew, deoxys, celebi, eon ticket, jirachi, and the tickets (exept fire reds ticket to get ho-oh and lugia) is that you need to go to a nintendo event or get an action replay max or sp at best buy or game stop. im sorry, but i do know how to get all the others. including all the dogs and birds.

seriously, there is no way to get deoxys without going to an event getting the flipping ticket! none of this "ooh you have to catch all 386 pokemon" crap. "Wonder gift" doesnt exist, if you mean Mystery Gift, then you have to go into a Poke Mart, talk to the piece of paper (press A infront of it) then type in "Link Together with All", and you will get Mystery Gift on your TITLE SCREEN...

sorry if anyone has already explained this but i couldn't be bothered to read an entire page of "ooh how do i get the wonder gift"....

GUYS!! these stupid codes like " go to your mum and rest 5 times" or "go in and out of a building and mew will appear" are just a load of rubbish! there is no way to get jirachi, mew or celebi (without cheating, although there is a glitch in Red/Blue that lets you catch mew) For all the others you need to go to an event and download old sea chart/ eon ticket/ aurora ticket/ whatever item lets you go to navel rock...

oh and one last thing, cheating can screw your game. there is actually an anti-cheat thing in ruby/sapphire which stops you cheating to catch legendaries (eg jirachi) which turns them into bad eggs...

soory for posting so many times but ive been reading some more of this page and it is a load of crap....

-You can't teleport by holding L and walking out a door.
-You CANT have pokemon over level 100!

and if anyone thinks im lying about cheats screwing your game, take a look at my friend's game...

-if he catches a pokemon, it turns into a bad egg
-if a pokemon evolves, it turns to a bad egg
-if he tries to release a bad egg, nothing happens
-if he tries to move a bad egg around in his PC, the bad egg stays where it is and a new one appears where he tries to move it to
-his pokemon change species whenever he saves
-he has a whole box full of nameless glitchy pokemon which do nothing (they show up on screen as alittle blip, but the game thinks there is nothing there. there is.)
-and he cant even move around the real world! whenever he takes a step he appears in a different part of the world, sometimes on water, sometimes on trees, and sometimes he even teleports to a place which is inaccesible and his game freezes...

all because he used action replay on it...

here a new cheat go to the city were you gambale go all the way to the last right of gambaling place talk to the machine and it will say somebody left there key in it after that go to the second one and sometimes you will get two7 third part of the machine you will have to wait to get the 7 on the right space

In order to get the "mystery gift" you have to go to the poke-mart and click on the piece of paper located on the desk. Then you put (link together with all). Then press ok. Then the guy will say "you must know about the mystery gift", then he will give you the mystery gift.

To have the Mystery Gift,Go to any Poke Mart and click on the clipboard near the shopkeeper. The clipboard is a questionaire. Type in the 4 words "**** ******** **** ***" and the shopkeeper should notice and gives you access to the Mystery Gift system. Save the game and restart. At the Front Menu, there should be a new option called "Mystery Gift" With Mystery Gift, you can unlock many things.

And I have the ItemFinder Secret Items;
Macho Brace: in Viridian Gym (use ItemFinder where Giovanni was)
Sacred Ash : in Navel Rock (use ItemFinder where Ho-oh was)
Soothe Bell: in Pokemon Tower (use ItemFinder where Mr.Fuji was)
Leftovers : Near Cycling Road and Silence Bridge (use ItemFinder where Snorlax was)
